yeah three of them should do the job, we use them where i work to heat the nozzle end thats why they're so small, but they'll bring steel up to 650 deg.

wrap thos around a aluminum pipe cause aluminum ha a high specific heat and should disperse the heat well enough or to enshure that plastic wont melt to the metal have a wrig that turns and keeps the plastic in a constant slowish motion around the inside of the pipe. :?:

im actually going to use brass because its cheaper and also has a high heat transfer rate just like aluminum. the plastic wont stick when molten, plastic only sticks when its cooling or if its overheated. some plastics, like pvc and lexan dont stick to metal at all, nylon and polyester are the stickiest
