Thats acutally pretty funny. But they will have to be dealt with by Aussie law, if caught.

Yeah, i thought some of the lighter hearted members may get a chuckle out of it

Still, not a very safe practice- you don't know who is in the house, worst case scenario would be if it hit a child.

Top half of that window turned turquoise after the shot.
It looks like a lameass prank but whether it was or not is less important than it looks like it's real and encourages a bad view.

Yea thats true, no matter how much of a Ass he was, it doesnt give them the right to do that. I would check if hes in there first, then shoot
No but seriously, its not a good example. there are many other ways to get revenge.
Look what free will does to us

Wow... I can imagine what would happen if someone tried that on me. Something along the lines of:
Idiot1: dude, that was so sweet!
friend: yeah man
friend2: lets go back to your place where he cant find us
*30 minutes later*
friend2: i still cant believe we just did that man, i...
*BOOM*
*CRACKSMASHTINGBOOMCRRRRDONGTHUD*
friend: Uh, dude, didn't your house use to be there?
People like that give all spudders a bad name.

Ofcourse its bad to use a spudgun in that way.
But I think they could have done things better:
-Why didnt they fire from a distance?
Since there is a high chance of someone chasing after you to beat you up, it would be comfortable to have some distance already.
-Why didnt they just fired (or even threw) a waterballoon throug an open window? That would be not as illigal as breaking someones window. (unless it hits the brand new $30.000 worth plasma screen)
-Why didnt they just throw it in with a rock? This would take the blame away from the spudgun. (And possibly this would result less punishment on the kids because they didnt use some sort of semi-legal firearm.)
I think the 3rd idea would have been the best.

I think the stupidest thing to do was not only do that, but record it on video which can be used to identify them as the culprits.
Personally, if I had to shoot someone's window in (which I cannot foresee being likely), I'd be shooting with HEAL using a suppressor and the short barrel from over 100 metres away, in camouflage and cover, wearing a balaclava, with a means of escape - and I wouldn't be filming it.
@Hotwired: You're right, what would have caused that purple haze*, because there was a certain amount of delay?
@DYI: I would have thought it would be:
"I can't believe we did tha... what happened to your front door? And why is there an oxygen cylinder lodged in your kitchen wall?"
You could film it with a better angle than last time.
*Ok, it was turquoise, but I haven't put enough song names in to my posts recently.

Well, just use the chamber extension, and the heavy round with a payload of 3 pounds TNT rather than concrete, and you get the idea.
But I wouldn't really do that. There are far more subtle and effective (not to mention difficult to trace) methods of getting revenge. Pouring LOX on the charcoal in someone's BBQ a minute before they lit it would make for an interesting spectacle...
And filming it was essentially the dumbest thing these kids could have done.

Look at the video again, the change of colour is caused by the projectile ricocheting into it, smashing it. Just worked it out.

A few friends of mine used one of those 3-person sling shot water balloon launchers; launching a water balloon THROUGH a neighbors window, the balloon hit the wall and still didn't break. Some water balloons are NOT a good way to get revenge.

The 2nd dumbest thing, I would say. The dumbest was actually retaliating in the first place. If they'd reported it to the police, that would have been much more sensible.
Spudfiles can't do anything about morons like that, but we get the bad rap for it.
However, I will say that paintball guns are
very useful at Halloween.
We had problems with egging and flour one year, which had actually done damage to the house - so the next year I borrowed a set of simple paintball markers from a friend - and, lo and behold, the punks turned up again.
I think it was a group of relatively young teenagers trying to be "hard" - Thing was, they weren't expecting a trio of young adults to burst out of the door, chuck paintball flash-bangs at them and fire paint at them. Unsurprisingly, they legged it, and we never had problems from them again.
It was quite fun really. BTW, it wasn't retaliation, it was just defence, and we had deliberately chronoed the markers at around about a low 200 fps for safety reasons, so don't whinge at me about it being immature and dangerous.

i really wouldnt care what your fps was, your just protecting your property. I dont think that was immature at all. I would have done the exact same thing, i have paintball guns and im not afraid to use it

I think baseball bat with nails in the one end would have worked better, but thats just me. Maybe a coupla big knives too.
