Poly pipe?

Considering that I use 3" SCH 40 DWV ABS as a barrel on the SCTBDC, and that I used it at 500 psi in subzero temperatures with a 2.5 pound projectile that had to be hammered into the breach, I think you'll be fine with low bore poly pipe (although the shock resistant qualities of ABS would make it unwise to try what I mentioned above with poly pipe).

Another incident involved the HPHH where the projectile was too tight a fit to move when the valve openend @200 psi :shock:. Once again, DWV ABS barrels FTW.

Poly pipe is pretty rare around here, but you likely won't run into any exploding barrels with any normal setup, unless you use PVC barrels.

wow this is...long lol

ill be droppin in to my trusty bunnings soon to pick up my pipe, ill prob get the longest bit they have which is like 2.5m, how loud will this be at 100psi with a spud? It would be close to a whoomph wouldnt it?

lol at how this thread made a big convo when i mentioned rifling!

its like combustions, the higher the c:b ratio the louder it will be although it will also depend on pressure but in general a high c:b ratio = more noise :)


surely you must remember the great spudfiles coin challenge?
now you mention it, i think it must have been around the time i joined :?:
