Thanks for that JSR... right now I am using el cheapo .12 airsoft bb's... but I am going to buy some .3 sniper bbs online... those should work out well. Once I get some good shots, I'll post videos/damage pictures.

Man, this thing is simply amazing. I don't know what it is, but this is nice.
Have you considered upgrading the aesthetics any? Maybe to make it more rifle like. I don't really know for sure (since the barrel is sleeved) but the barrel looks like it may be flimsy. Adding a foregrip may help to prevent this and preserve the accuracy a bit.

Some sort of sight would be in order, a cheap red dot would look good and do the job well. Also, consider sleeving the barrel in PVC, it would be a good support that would double as an integral suppressor

I'm definitely going to do some type of sight...I have a high power (50 mW) green laser that I could mount...that is probably overkill though. I'll look into sights, though I'm not sure how functional they will be. About sleeving the barrel: it really does not sag much at all, for it already IS a sleeved barrel. An aluminum inner barrel is sleeved inside of a copper outer barrel. Besides, sleeving the barrel would mean that I would have to redo the paintjob that I worked so hard on

i would put a laser sight onto it, then a 4x scope. so you can see where the barrel is pointing and align your scope accordingly.

Like any other sight. You make an adjustable mount, and, for homemade sights (no mil or MOA adjustments, by any stretch of imagination), use trial and error to zero, then use loctite to lock it in.
The green laser is most certainly not overkill. What if it's high noon on a cloudless day and you need to see your laser?

I might throw the laser on there just for fun. It fits pretty well in 1/2" copper tubing. Since the laser has a momentary push button, I plan to thread a small hole in the laser housing (1/2" copper tube) and add a screw. This way, I can tighten the screw to keep the laser on, and loosen it to turn the laser off. Definitely a better solution then securing the button with tape, and and easier one that modifying electronics (really, though, that is pretty simple as well).
How should I mount the tubing to the launcher? Of course hose clamps and zip ties are an option, but they are not very elegant. I think I am going to mount the laser close to the trigger, because it will allow easy access, prevent the barrel from bending, enable me to sight it with greater ease, and allow me to keep the maneuverability of this launcher (don't want an increased moment of inertia to slow me down).
I've never been a distance (>5 feet
) shooter with this gun because I live around a lot of things that are just begging to be hit by a projectile (houses, cars, eyeballs). Can I actually expect any accuracy? I bought some .2 BB's to play around with, and there are some aluminum ones that I also have my eye on. I made some dart-like things by lathing the head off of a bolt, which gave decent damage, but I didn't want to try to shoot for distance.
I've got an idea to add some sort of M203 device that would not be difficult at all to integrate, but if I went to that length, I think I would have to upgrade the barrel as well by adding another sleeve for more structural strength, even if the M203 was near the beginning of the barrel. If I do decide to sleeve the barrel again, I think I am going to go with an aluminum outer layer; copper is heavy, expensive, and tends to bend, while aluminum is light, cheap, and rigid.
