In true Viking tradition your remains should be placed on a PVC framed boat and cremated at sea

Well... my head might spontaneously combust due to me thinking too fast, but that's not really cremation, is it? :P

Being honest, I'm not personally much of a fan of cremation - but I won't go into my reasons, to avoid the possibility of offending people.

No kidding, have some respect for the poor guy, his great grandma just died and you're suggesting to "blow up" her ashes with an m-80.... my god your pathetic. Not only is it completely against the rules (and the law), but its also morally wrong. You should be ashamed of yourself. You're Grounded!
1. I am very sorry his grand mother died.

2. Ignoring the fact he posted on a message board about shooting his grandmothers ashes out of a potato cannon. How exactly is the m-80 that much more outrageous?

I wont be replying, i am just point out how idiotic your post was.

Ceremonially scattering ashes with an air powered launcher is rather less viscous and violent than using explosives - I think that's a good enough reason, if the illegality of the M-80 isn't.

if you are going to talk like that you should rather eat some M-80's and jump in a fire rather than talk like that on a thread like this!

i wonder how the guy feels when people hijack his thread (and spessial a thread like this) with that stupid talk that just hurt him.
do me a favor and don't talk on this forum again!

Enough about the m-80's it was an idea. Perhaps not the greatest ethical and legal idea, however an idea never the less.

I'm sure he'll be more careful in the future...

Lets try and stay on topic with this...

I like the idea of the flower petals I think it would add a nice touch :)

I wouldn't mind being fired from a high powered, polished metal gun. That would be quite nice.

But as Rag said, I find it indecent to fire ashes from a few bits of PVC with purple primer stains.

Well, for some reason it's the plastic - doesn't seem quite as respectful as a nice and shiny metal launcher.
Just like it wouldn't seem quite right to bury people in plastic bin-bags, (unless, perhaps, you're a member of the Mafia...) I would prefer the idea of a more ceremonial launcher - say brushed aluminium/stainless steel or polished copper/brass.

However, if wannabie is happy using PVC...

Although I wouldn't mind about this.

Can shoot over 8 tonnes of projectile up to 29 miles.

Bore is 800mm

Now if anyone on here can match that, then I will eat my hat.

For some reason an image of an 800mm bore, 200' long, 500x oxy/hydrogen hybrid sprung to mind when I read that...

For some reason, an image of a giant fireball sprung to mind when I read that...

*Cue recursion*

Now a 500x anything would be the most insanely powerful thing every created.
