I made a bunch of these for paintballing and brought them to my friend at school, I got caught and expelled. I had The fire Marshal and cops at my house

Lamentalisk: It was 320g of large mesh KNO3 and caster sugar melted together for a better bond. If you live in the Uk, I can tell you exactly where to get the stuff for long lasting, large volumes of smoke producing KNO3. But I have no idea for the rest of the world.

You can buy visco fuse off Cannonfuse.com, or you can just put a lighter on it, it will catch.

Potassium Nitrate (saltpeter) is hard to get no matter where you live because it is the base in a lot of the things that go boom. My only alternative to this is using powdered zinc and sulfer. 75% zinc and 25% sulfer by volume make a mean rocket fuel but if you increase the percentage sulfer to, say, 50% then it should smoke more as it won't burn agressively but smolder more.

the moderators have deemed smoke bombs as safe and OK to shoot out of cannons, but all the other stuff pertaining to gunpowder probably needs to stop

I believe smoke bombs, if not falling under other rules, would be incendiary projectiles when fired from cannons.
