Yeah, I'll share in that sentiment... this is an absolutely great site.

It's usually the first site I visit when I power up my computer.

MrCrowley wrote:Yeah The Garage is my work space. I've got a 2.5m long x 1m wide bench that's already filled of just supplies. I need another to work on :(
Believe me, if you would get another bench, you would still have the same problem within a month....

Or why not use the floor?
Just dump everything into some dark corner of the Garage and youve got a clear workbench :D

Or in my case, about 22 seconds.

Nothing around me can remain organised - I am the bringer of entropy!!!

Ironically, it's failed auto prototypes that drive me back to the bottle! :D

I may construct a pneumatic bench clearing machine.
Every 24 hours it uses a pneumatic ram to push all the junk in a large tub.

Ragnarok may have a harder time building such a thing since he requires a 22 seconds full-auto cycle.

Interesting idea, but you're missing a trick there. What it needs is a setup more like a bowling pin setter, so it picks up the things that are meant to be on the desk before it wipes it.
So a frame comes down from the ceiling and lifts your tool box, tape measure, calculator, or whatever other tools you have on the desk, then wipes the remaining stuff off.

It could go down well with the right community.
