On second thoughs, you could do this, then fill the "chamber" with BBs and have a burst fire BBMG, All you'd need to add is some sort of mesh to prevent the BBs rolling back past the piston, and an o-ring at the breech to stop the BBs rolling out of the barrel.
looks like there will be a new build log for me then, shouldn't be too hard to do (he says in the earlier stages)
If you go with the above, the most complicated part is remembering how to put the nailer back together correctly once you're removed the striker

Thanks for all of the info but I would rather it be a single shot because I want to try and squeeze all of the power I can out of this thing, infact I could always change it if i make the "chamber" plug removable but at the moment I find that i would feel better with the single shot method
thanks again to all of you and will be purchasing that nail gun either today or tommorrow

Hmm..the schematic shown is exactly the same as the nailer I took apart...
I guess they gave it to me because it wasn't functioning like it should...
That leaves me guessing about how it could be adapted to be used in a semi.
Sorry
Darn-it!
I aints got no cotton-pickin' clue now, ya hear?!?
