This ones an SGTC, just because it's my first.
I'd love to build an SSTC and then a DRSSTC, but I don't entirely understand how they work and which components to use.

Played around with the coupling and tuning. Still needs a bit of a tune..
The nice guys over at 4hv.org helped me with the secondary - primary arcing. Problem was a badly grounded (ungrounded infact) secondary.
Fine tune next, but I think I'm pretty close.

A dumb question from an amature: how exactly does a tesla coil work and does it have anything to do with a Van de Graaff generato, or am i way of?(excuse the little kowlage of an 8th grade student that has not had much more phsics than discussing why a ballon stuck to the wall when you rubbed it with a russian idiot that doesnt know what exactly papaer is(and him an sodium hydroxide DO NOT go together well...))

Van de graff's work by taking electrons from one thing, and giving it to another. A van de graff is a static generator. a Tesla coil is a transformer. Its like any transformer in your house, but it steps voltage up, with no core. look at wikipedia =p

Indeed.
Air Cored Resonant Transformer.
Turns lower voltage/Higher current into Higher voltage/Lower current.
As rp181 said, it works just like any other step-up transformer.

It would need to be grounded, or it would instantly go to the tesla coils potetntial.

It wont arc to the bullet, aside from a very small brief spark to bring the bullet's charge up to the output. If the bullet was grounded, then it would arc and you would have deal with seeing a projectile in the dark with 'lighting'

Yep.
It would be awesome to have a metal sphere slinging around (circular, around the TC), hanging on a conductive and grounded wire.
The sparks would always be directed to the ball and their direction keeps rotating.

Have you seen tesladownunder's site? he put a rotating pole on top of several of his coils. It looks stupid in real life because of the slow rotation, but the long exposure photo's are great.
