Thats why i asked about ad tracker units. adsense tells you what each ad brings in. Im fine with it, I just think the look and feel would be better.

Since I didn't really give any constructive advice the first time around, I'll talk to jagerbond directly if he's still browsing here...

I know there is a commercial market for these things, but in the past what I've seen doing well are the big pneumatic guns. IMO, combustions by their nature are perceived as more of a toy than a piece of equipment, just because they are commonly the ones built by bored teenagers.

If I remember right Joel s. made a good business out of the big pneumatics and valves, even selling them to movie special effect teams and the military.
Maybe in the future you should consider expanding into this realm?

If you want to attract hobbyists as well, try to offer some more basic components. Modded sprinkler valves and stunguns/HVcircuits are a good place to start. I'm sure if you want ideas for products like this you only have to ask the members here.

Also, most paintball enthusiasts I know seem to readily part with large sums of money for easily machined custom parts.

Im somewhere between offended and confused... your site has a disclaimer not to kill with spudguns, but the military has guns for one reason only, TO KILL... and the metering device is from what I can tell something that at least 100 people on this site have built themselves, including me, but when I designed mine instead of going from the ground up, I went from the propane to the gun, cause thats simply how these thing work... no engineering required.... If you would like me to custom machine some parts, PM me, I'm military and have access to several machine shops, machining isnt necesary for my preferred guns, but if you need it, I got it, no 1k$ price tags here...

A sponsor is a good thing, even if they sell the spuds themselves for a 1000 bucks each.

If the ad doesn't appeal to you, it's probably not meant for you.


This site draws in a LOT of people who are looking for spudguns.
The sponsor gets a lot of attention this way and he helps to keep the site up.
So all sides benefit from this.

You don't just slap together a thing like that.
And it don't come cheap.

The PVC chamber comment does have sense to it.
They would be (even) better with aluminium chambers.I think the intended customers would come to prefer it too, it would make them truely top of the line.

No, that propane meter appears to operate differently than the 2 ball valves type. I believe it uses oring seals. I don't think I've ever seen one like it before, aside from the one sitting on my desk . (Just a weird coincidence apparently. I built one that uses a pump-action stroke a couple weeks ago, and can only assume they are built the same).

The guns are very nice, but whoaa pricey..

Btw Jager, how many are you selling (sort of a rate)? And to what audience?

When I saw that metering system I decided to try and make one as well. The epoxy piston is setting right now. I think you pull back the plunger and it opens a port that allows the gas into the pump. You then pull it forward and the gas goes into the chamber. Well at least that's how mine is planned to operate. Basically like a syringe.

Seems likely his could be built the way you described it.
Mine runs under a constant pressure, meaning the pump action is only used to operate a 3-way valve.

I'll make a tutorial for mine after I get my upgraded combustion posted. It was rather cheap to build.

I have to say i'm with PCGUY, some of you guys are pissing me off as well. All those complaining and hiding behind the words a different opion and such should be taken out back to the wood shed and whipped with a switch or a stick of some sort!

If he was not a sponsor and posted pictures he would have been praised for the work he did.

There are many type of people out there who don't have the knowledge or confidence to build there own and some who just have more money than time so why should they be left out of this great hobby.

We need every person we can get on our side if we want to keep a place for spud guns in this bubble wrap world we all live in.

I have to admit I am a little jealous because I don't have access to a CNC myself yet and I have to machine everything manually.

I like the clean professional look of of site. I hope to bring Spudtech up to his level of style when I get some time.
