I left them out in the sun while I'm at work, I'll probably spend a few extra hours here just to make sure I don't get my hands on the valves prematurely

I can also spend some time repairing my chrony, someone managed to graze the exposed wires with a BB last time it was used

I suppose I'm lucky I managed to miss both the sensors, that would really bad. I just took mine out recently and kept getting error messages, hopefully it was just poor lighting (it was pretty cloudy out.)

In an unprecedented display of prudence, I've decided to control my urges and give the prototype 48 hours of curing time so no testing yet, give it a couple more hours

edit: tested and I couldn't get it to cycle reliably, I think the smaller chamber was a mistake. I'm remaking it with a bigger one, and this time hooked up to a 1/2" BSP ball valve which screws nicely on to the bottle so once it's done I'll have something that can be turned into a complete launcher.

Lol! Asides from the little pipe sticking out of the thing, it looks exactly like a simple ball valve pneumatic cannon, hooked up to a scrapped HPA tank for a chamber. Thats great.
It does look quite sleek though, good job.

Ironically the valve came from my first marble gun which was just that

I'll be impressed if you can turn out something similar appearance and function to this. I'm sure you could even do a nice fancy mag..not that it's absolutely required.

On the subject of that gun, if the mechanism is in a suitable location you could add a "recocking bolt" (seen in blowbacks etc) to the pop off through a milled or routed slot. If done well it wouldn't affect performance and would look so cool going back and fourth (no matter how useless it is).

I see where you're coming from, it would be cool to actually see something cycling backwards and forwards. I could always hook up the piston to a "magazine interrupter" to ensure it never double feeds.

sorry for going off-topic (or maybe it's not off topic)

but I have an idea... basically this design should offer more less the same performance as yours

it's pretty self-explenatory....
there is a 3 way spool valve when it is the 1st positon it directs air into a chamber which is attached to a single air cylinder... pressure extends the air cylinder and it actuates the spool valve

in the second position air is directed from the chamber and aircylinder to the 3rd port (the barrel)

as soon as the air cylinder retracts and the valve switches to the 1st postion the cycle repeats

it's not that I suggest him quiting his design or that I am going to try it myself in the near future... let say that posting ideas in his threads dedicated to creating a fullauto valve (yeah there were many of them) is a kind of tradition...

this post is just to show that you don't need a solenoid to use a spool valve for small bore full auto guns... I spent some time playing with 3 way valves and air cylinders and I am sure it will work
