At 100psi mine went through 2 cans easily
My stupid shocky didnt arrive today :x

cant you get threaded schraders of ebay? you can get them of the uk one
i just use bike inner tube ones and strip them.

are u shooting at the cans like in the picture, if so how can u possibly do it with such a small chamber/barrel? at that pressure? what ammo are u using?

where did i go wrong :?:

with mine a 4mm piece of steel that weigh's 0.05grams at 300psi penetrates the bottom and tears the top, altho it would probly penetrate the top if the can was fixed and it didnt hit the seams

as for the shrader the aussie ebay is shit, try for urself and see, but the uk one might seem promising, ill give it a shot :?

Fore yours dosent seem to be that powerfull but i have no idea why because mine can do that easily at 100 psi and im in the 500 fps range i wonder what its gunna be like at 300psi. 750fps?

Maybe because your barrel size is 4mm and mine is 6mm? just wondering

whats your piston because it could be that thats affecting performance my first piston wasnt very good like 320 fps but i wrapped it in an extra layer of tape and performance rocketed.

@qwerty

:x my piston is cast from epoxy, its a perfect fit and it not possible for me to wrap tape around the piston because of such a fit.
it seals with just using a shock pump from start to finish, unlike my barrel sealer were it needed a boost of air at 30psi to seal

since your using bb's for ammo i would suggest u have a better seal in the barrel in comparison to my nail shaft wraped in teflon.
what do the bb's weigh?, i cant believe you got an extra 180fps just by wrapping an extra layer of tape,my god how lose must your first piston have been..
would my excessive pilot volume be causing this??
how long is your chamber? and how long is your barrel?

maybe someone with a little more experiance would be able to diagnose these problems and veriables. :?:

hi sorry i dont read the complete thread but i bet your schrader stolen 50-70 psi. the gauge on the pump messure only the pressure in pump head and hose.

btw nice plinker

I think I understand what you're saying but my track pump gauge measures the pressure whether it be inside the pump, hose or cannon. It's all the same. I have a gauge on the pump and cannon, both show the same pressure.

the BBs are 0.12 grams
another thing is your piston heavy because mines very light like 1.5 grams

and yeah the BBs are a perfect fit i have to use a ramrod to get them down
or wait like half a minute
I agree with you i can hardly seethat tape would get a good fit also it must be much heavier than the BB.

Oh yeah my fisrt piston was cr@p it actuated like second later after the pilot and went back quite slowly.

its hard to weigh my piston because i cant access it, but my guess would be 2-3 grams considering my chamber is 5/8, it must be heavier than urs

also when ur fireing at the can are u doing it from the base? like in the picture or side on? because side on mine rips through both side but im outta cans atm so i cant tell if it will penetrate another can

any chance of making a video of this beast in action?? with pressure readings??

and is there a coaxial pro in the house??? :P

when fireing at the the cans yeah it goes through 2 on the side.
when i get my shocky (should come today) i will put up a test with readings of the gauge.
i will also do a high pressure damage video

pheww  now my mind is at ease try doing that same shot but this time shoot through the base of the can,lay the can flat on its side, take aim and shoot your exit hole should come out the top near the mouth piece, and then tell me the results... :D

im on my first jack daniels atm so give me an hour or two and ill have some spare cans to take aim at :)

note to members: do not operate a gun under the influence of alcohole

Shocky came today :) but....my gun started leaking at 170psi so now im trying to fix it :(
but..... my 1/2 qev also came today :D

Fixed it and tried it at 280 psi and man its loud definatly as loud as a real gun it hurts you ears at arms lenght
shot it through 2 pieces of 2mm wood pretty easily but my camera has stopped uploading :x

Could you cut that candle/wax lump in half down the path of the BB?Or is that it's impact and if so,thats amazing it stayed in one piece.

Any chance of a video/pictures of a stack of CD's being shot at?

thats just the impact at 280 psi
i will try to put up a damage video later today.
