I took it apart, just need to go to Ace for some more parts. This time I will use a threaded Tee with a nipple as the part for the piston to slide in. That way it's serviceable.

And when you put it together again, do your absolute best to find a way to build it so that you can get the piston and associated parts apart again without removing PVC glue, since odd things tend to happen to pistons when they are under such pressures and flying backwards at high velocities into a solid object.
Really, you should consider that, since it's highly likely you will have another issue with the piston in the future.
