A little white lithium grease never hurts :P I've never heard of this happening before, you could be the first to get a lemon qev.
Yeah, it's that important.

Tried that allready, my original thought was that maybe the diaphragm was snagging on something, but I lubed it up and made sure there were no burrs or anything.
