Such a nicely made cannon looks somewhat out of place on such a post apocalyptic vehicle, but haters gonna hate
Also, I can't be the first person to point out it looks like something the
rebels in Libya would be proud of

I think the phrase "Weapon of Mass Destruction" also applies.

No doubt about it.
Jack, I think it looks excellent on there, but they should of mounted it on a rotating platform >.<

Holy cow!
Picture 18: Is there anything that wheelie chairs aren't good for?

Seriously though, those guys are brave, not to mention ingenious.

Will Rocket City Science have back episodes on-line for the pay TV challenged?
I was able to watch the other show because it was on-line later.
Hmm, teaser appears here.

Here's a video of the construction...

The part not shown in this video is the side by side test of a standard wood frame outhouse and there CMU/rebar/cement build. I'm sure its no surprise that the 2x4 sail clean through the wood frame and turns into toothpicks when shot at the cement version.
For you that have DVR and recorded, check out the test fire of the wood frame outhouse. After firing the test dummy inside is missing appendages and the the box van behind the outhouse is missing a light.
Cheers,

That's pretty cool, I see they failed with the piston diagram though... there's no way that piston would work like that

And I even sent them a CAD drawing to use...

Huh..
we got us a couple of celebrities on the site now.
Great stuff and love to see that Natgeo logo in the bottom!
On a sidenote:
I have always wondered how many times the mythbusters team have visited this site...I'm quite sure they have...and if they will ever make themselves known....

The scale is just incredible, great stuff as always!
Will USG be credited in the programme?
By the way, I noted
this bit of news that came out of your part of the world.
I read this: "The Advanced Hypersonic Weapon was launched from Hawaii this morning at 6:30 Eastern time and flew roughly 2,400 miles to Kwajelien atoll." and my first though was "Oh dear, what are they up to now?!"

If they did, they probably haven't gleaned much. I haven't seen recent episodes but from what I remember, their ventures into pneumatic launchers have mostly been quite feeble in terms of optimisation.

I wondered if they have made some posts, without saying who they are, if they did, this site would be flooded with topics and spam.

I imagine they have a team of researchers who are able to blend in on forums doing research, I doubt they have been to Spudfiles though. As JSR said, they don't appear to know much about launchers.
I'm sure in their advertising days they played around with similar devices and if not, Jamie seems like the kind of guy who knows what you need to build to launch something.

Nah, they paid the premium for this. Same like on the HOUSE episode.

We have been testing the new BL-520, I didn't think anyone noticed.

Nah, we built here and shipped. I talked to the producers a few times on the phone though.
