if you still are confused I can put up a diagram.
My quest for the perfect gun
A compression fitting usually using a nut, just drop it in move it about till the stem comes out of the hole you made put on the nut and tighten it up real good. sometimes glue is used as well to make it airtight but a little bit of rubber does the trick nicely.

OK the schrader is the sickly yellow colour blob, the nut is the red blob, and the coke bottle is the blue object (not to scale), you can see how tightening the nut real tight creates a good compression fitting.

I just drill a hole in the end of the coke bottle, smaller than the tyre valve with rubber around it, then just push the valve in the hole, for the pressure I was using (about 20 psi
) no leaks

Then good old epoxy is probably your best betdamn, my schrader valve can't be attached to a nut
I recommend sticking with HPA. You will get alot more power, easier than using a slingshot system etc.
Your main problem will be getting a big enough air supply on the gun for multiple shots. Because all the QEVs and 3 way valves will allow semi-auto, but you need a big enough air tank on the gun to get off multiple shots consistantly.
