Sorry for the late response jack,
anyhow I was fascinated by how fascinated people where by where you live
if you want higher pressures, time to seek a different threaded fittings.
define higher pressures, I'm not planning to ever take this hybrid over 6x anyways. And seeing how it held up to the 3 or so 5x shots I did, I think It should do just fine
If it does decide to go kaboom, I should have access to a metal lathe in about 3 weeks so I might be able to turn some fittings 8)

Being located where I am, I couldn't find a single piece of pvc or metal pipe that had a diameter even close to the soda bottle cap. I had to improvise again
It's just a shampoo cap from a sample soap container filled with loads of epoxy and stuck on the cap. The bond between the cap and epoxy wasn't very strong after letting it cure for 8 hours so I snapped it off and super glue'd it on
I know super glue sucks but it works fairly well when it has a large area to stick to, which it does. So far this has stood up to several 5.5x shots just fine. When it eventually blows off (notice how I say eventually
) it won't go violently.
It's a blast with the new barrel! (pun very intended
)for now I'm just going to say I shot through a 300 page book with a 3x mix
I'll post a video tomorrow when I'm done editing.

it was the 5 minute set stuff... all I had on hand, probably the reason why It didn't stick to the plastic.

yes, and the barrel is attached at like a 2 degree angle so it looks awful too...

cool! good luck but you don't need $300 dollars to build a simple hybrid. this one cost me the equivalent of $15.... most of it was spent paying off the copper barrel
