I'm anxious to see it working too
I can start (and possibly finish) the hammer tomorrow, and definitely finish by the weekend (3 day weekend woot woot). I might place my order and get some parts in next week. Then I need to get the barrel and chamber, and all the other stuff. So a few more weeks

It took all day lol in the morning I finished drawing it in CAD then printed out a 1:1 scale drawing and used it to make the parts. But I don't think it's strong enough and that was the best spring I could get. I can add another spring on the hammer though and attach it on the bottom, to get twice the force. I might have to do that...
I also bought a 3 ft long .22 barrel for it.

I didn't, my brother gets crap loads of flares and guns and stuff like that from his work, so I asked and he gave me one
The hammer has a steel point on it to hit the flare but I can take that off and replace it with a plastic bolt or something, I'll pad it with rubber so it doesn't break the push button valve
The only problem with it is that it's ugly haha but the valve will fit perfectly in it.

Awesome, can't wait to see it!
My hammer is very similar to the flare gun mechanism, except the flare gun uses a compression spring and I use an extention. I'm adding another spring to mine so it might have a chance at being strong enough for the valve at 400 psi. I know the flare gun can handle it, but this thing is ugly so I'll only use it if I need to

My will have to open my moded blowgun valve at almost 1000 psi
and not ugly at all.
