You too should read the whole article about SCH40 and SCH80 for pressure rated pipe and fittings.

You only looked at SCH40 not the the whole title.

MAtty, basically it states that the ASTM number it comply's with basically states it for pipe that will be under pressure and will be able to withstand it.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

@@ Dewey I was just saying that in general. Just cuz a piece of pipe or a fitting says its sch.40 means nothing to do with if its rated for pressure or not.. I know pipe and Ive done my share of studying...Thanks for the article though...
