Yeah thats my problem as well, I usally go through all of them(25 some times ) and if I post I post and get out of the page, and If I dont post I just click out of the page but it still says I have around 9 un-read topics.

That is because it says there are 4 new topics, but you only see 2 because you don't have permissions to see the others.

Permission to see others?Wow there is an underground posting on Spudfiles.I must agree with the Chat section,it would be very useful.

There isn't any secret posting (aside from moderators in a moderator only section).

99% of the times that happens, it's because no posts are ever really deleted on SpudFiles. They are moved to a section only I can see for review. That makes the forum think there is a new topic (since it makes a new topic for the deleted post) and it tells you there is a new topic when there really isn't.

Whoa. A secret moderators section. What else could you be hiding? I cant trust you anymore .

Double 0 pcguy and his moderator possie. So you said you would start the chat room again, i remember it before, checked it out, nobody was there. I wonder if it will be different this time? Maby, how many new members in the past year?

OK So far we have a chat room. I'm working on that part.

We also have the issue about PMing me to prove your a real member and such when they register. That should no longer be needed, as new methods of SPAM prevention have been put in place and SPAM has almost 100% been stopped.

I already reinstated the classifieds.

What else is there? What about a new look for SpudFiles? Possibally making some changes to this look, and adding an additional optional skin for people to use that is a light color based vs dark like the current template.

yeah, I think you would loose a lot of members that way.

Rotten spud demaritts for posters who unnesserarly flame on others. Or some other kind of embarrising punishment??? Just a idea.

I love this look,best forum lay out ive seen,but I know some people will like the option of different colour skins.
I only have one problem so far, when there are new topics they never show in the 'new topic' thing. I went through the forum yesterday browsing and there were all these new topics from the last few days that I never heard about, they didnt come up in the 'new topic' list.

Hey, how about lengthening the Recent Topics list a bit? Maybe the 10 last posted-to threads? There's plenty of room down the side of the page, and I use it a lot. Just an idea.

On the recent topics section, could you make it like it is on theopia, so it says who made the last post for that topic, and not just when that post was made. That is the only thing I don't like on spudfiles.

dumb school. Anyway, about the firefox thing, I can see that you are already advertising it. Man, you should advertise for Opera software too and really light a fire! lol......

And about the delete thing, the one where your file gets deleted after a certain period of inactiveness, i think that is kinda dumb, because what if you have some huge school project, and another and another, and have like no time for a while!?!? (This happens to me all the time)

I think that the forum should have its own memory center for your designs.
Like, a "my designs" center, that is along with or in your profile or something. There you store pics designs prints etc. Also, people can look at your stuff when they view your profile.

What do you think?

Military style ranking system, oh wait we have something like that but add symbols and stuff with ranking bars etc
