All of these methods seem to assume that the searcher has a lot of technology available.

That golfball scout looks like great technology, but a little expensive for the normal spudder.

well, for rocketry to find rockets, we use the beepers, and paint it red and black, best visable colors

I found a can of Day-Glo Orange that looks to be about 20 years old but it still works fine. I should be able to find it a mile away, and it'll have a piezo buzzer for when it isn't obviously visible.

Paint it bright colors, and then try and use a imaging program like Google earth to look for it.

Google Earth isn't live, they havent updated it in years...
I know because we cut this tree down about oh a year and a half ago, and its still on the map.

I'm telling you, use a sibling to be a spotter.

a live google earth that would be awesome. legend pilot hers the problem with your golf ball thing

Build a big bolt in the middle of your ammo, then get a cheep metal detecter, have it with your spotter who is standing down range in a suite of armer, then shoot spotter will hear it hit and know the genral area pin point it with the detecter, waaalaaaa. Now doesn't that sound easy?

Kenny_McCormic has the best so far it seem cheap and easy to locate
