Why? He added what he thought was new info (still good link) AND linked to his own cool self-made elevator.maverik94 wrote:Please don't post on topics over about 3 months old....please!!!!!!!
Also, Atleast he found probably the original version (?) of a concept that's been re-done many times since as well.
Geez, BTW, it's not good to parrot either mr. maverik.
I'm about to kick up another of JSR's old(er) posts in like 2 minutes myself!

While bringing up old topics with a simple AWSUM!!!1!!!1eleventyone!!111! is abhorrent, there's nothing wrong with valid questions. We've had this discussion before so no need to make a fuss.
I would also make sure the breech is choked/some sort of detent is provided in order to allow pressure buildup.
I can't give you a figure for projected power, these things tend to be a bit of a black art, but it should be comparable to a middle range "adult" air rifle.
Spring piston airguns normally have a much shorter stroke, so I would go for a relatively small diameter piston to let it accelerate quickly, the "shock heating" in such mechanisms is a factor when it comes to power. What would you expect out of a 150 lb crossbow and a 24" stroke
