check the link in the beginning of the thread and it says it worked amazing

hmm..i could try, but would it be harder to assemble?

i kinda dont want to spend that much money.....my dad works at a plumbing supplies company, so he can get pipes for free...so i hopefully will spend 0$

another questions.....for the example and the one i will make, why is there two chambers into a middle barrel?

Frank he's going to use a brass ball valve.

rocks for future reference there is an edit button by the quote button.

the two chamber is so you can set it up and have it be stable on the ground. All you have to do is pump and then turn the ball valve really fast.

If you really want to get the darn thing far, flatten a piece of pliable metal pipe to the height of the hockey puck, square off one of the still rounded edges, and then cut the other one off until the hockey puck looks as if it fits

and wrap the cut end in friction tape. Mount the barrel tape end up to get a hop-up effect.

ascii didn't work :P but I hope you get the idea.

Just a side note. For a 15-year-old, your grammar is not exceptionally good.

I have an idea for teh puck to be more stable in the air not just flipping around. I'll make it tomarrow and post it hopefully.

A burst disk setup would require you to use burst disks, and you would have to use a new one every shot. But you would get those most bang for your buck

ehh i rather do a ball valve...i have to turn the valve fast, but can i wait to actually turn it...like pump it up, wait a minute, then turn it?

And I am sorry, Intel, its just that I am in a rush and I have never seen forums as a place to be proper. I read the Grammar thread, but I don't seem many other people using it and I don't take it as nesecary that we all obide by it.......So I will do my best.

But, you are basically talking about a barrel for the puck...or is there something else I'm missing?

I'm starting to think your not reading the sagested reads, or you wouldn't still have or be asking all the basic build questions that your asking. Or, you just don't have the confidence within yourself that you CAN do it.

Frank, bust disk are fun, strong, unsafistacated, but this is for a school project. If he was to cut loose with a burst disk, they would empty the school thinking they were under attack or something.

Hotrocks, stick with what YOU feel comfterbul(sp) with, you'll be better off.

Yes, I was indicating plans for a barrel. Also, sorry if I was a bit rude. I have always been a little snippy :)

Are you allowed to modify the hockey puck at all?
If so, you should Bolt a cone of some type on the front and a tail on the back :sign10:
If you really want a cool gun than do the burst disk idea and have a spike on the end of the hockey puck. When you drop the puck in it will rupture the burst disk material :lol:

hmm do you think I could make everything 3 inch?

and also, how to i get the bike pump into the chamber..do i just drill a hole in an endcap and stick the valve in there and then just pump, then screw it back on?

also, what are the female adapters and the couplings for?
