The project is pretty cheap, the PVC pipes were obviously not that much. The most expensive piece i bought for the thing would be the 10 dollar pressure guage, lol.
Oh, and I finally had to break down and go with the t-shirt launcher design after realizing that this:
Is wayyyy too friggin' long to handle. So heres what it looks like now:
And I'll add about 4 grooves on the rim of the barrel to let the rubber plugs sit while the rest of the net sits deep inside the barrel itself.

Do you think you can shorten the length of the pipe between the elbows? Dead space and whatnot.

Looking better. Coming out nicely. I do agree with mega though, if you can shorten the pipe between the elbow, I'd do it.
Oh and look! Mega sigged me. Rock on.

I know this is a dead topic, but i just head the greatest idea for this.
make a sabot that has 4 little indentations in four corners (i know there are none of a circle but use your imagination.) the net goes in the center. if there was some little flaps over the weights, then they would fly apart. but definitely i think that a sabot would be the way to get this to work, as it wont let all the air fly past.

thats what i was thinking about, a sabot with four pieces that fly apart with weights in them. or u could go for something like the old twin cannon balls held together by a chain. it would wrap around whatever u fire it at.
