What type of ammo would this be for? Would the magazine be parrallel to the barrel? Right now I am trying to design something similar but I am replacing the pump with a bolt for a rifle. This is what I was thinking about.

this is a simple pump action mechanism that i came up with,it can be spring loaded or gravity fed(depends on which way around you have it)

Like always this is simple, so I will leave you to figure this out yourselves, unless you ask me to explain it.

It wouldn't be an issue and you could always make the magazine air tight (with and o-ring).
