Just do a basic launcher design.Buy all pressure rated steel parts and hook a co2 tank direct.I for one can tell you they will launch a paintnade over 200 ft.
You can try with the regulator direct no harm in trying. But I believe the pressure won't be sufficient with a short barrel to get it to go very far.And I would recommend a 2" barrel, they work great for rockets and grenades. 1 1/2" is the best for shotgun loads.Unless you use scepter sized grenades. But they don't do much.

looks like a good design but why the hose, why not just connect it all together straight. would be real sweet if u could use a piston valve instead of the ball. but if thats all u got to work with (like me, limited parts) then it should be a doozy.

well since im going to mount it under a gun, where would the tank go? Im jus going to put it behind me or something so itll be lighter. and ill think about putting a 2" barrel.

well, on the regulator, i can adjust the pressure so i can make it however much pressure i want to launch it further or not

ya i know what your talking about. But then i would only get one shot off a whole tank wouldnt I? unless i close the valve real quick
Also wondering, could i use abs for the barrel?

This has got me thinking! I am starting to design/build a copper marble gun, that can be adapted for your use and could be very cool. I think I will just put the plans up on a new topic and you can see them there! Hopefully they will work! 8)

I was just looking at your diagram and realized you have a co2 AND want a ball valve... this wont work because a ball valve doesnt close again quickly and you wouldnt get a constant flow if you did it manually. Go look at valves on spudthugs website because its a really good website

ya thats what i noticed that if i used a ball valve, i would have to use all the air unless i use like a 12 gram.
what would be a good valve to use that can open and close quickly?
edit:: also, i got you and spud thug mixed up in his guestbook. lol

Lol, oh well, im sure he'll understand! I also nearly did the same, I thought it was MrCrowleys site at first for some unknown reason.
You see, I got tired of boring sprinkler valves etc etc all the time and your questions got me thinking so at the moment Im constructing a new type of valve that will hopefully work well...And its for semi auto!!
I'll PM you my plans and maybe you can give me some feedback. Once Ive made it Ill put it up on the forums with a gun.... but until then I'll just show you, so I can first finish it before releasing it to the world!

Ok, I started building today and its about halfway. My plans look really bad so I'll just send you photos because I cant even understand the plans sometimes!!!
I have already built another valve that you might be a able to use. It is on my semi auto paintball gun. That gun just needs to be welded then its finished... Woohoo!

Nah, neither do I! I have a friend whose dad has one! But you dont need a welder for the valve at all. I only need one because Im making my gun out of metal and need the joints welded. I have made it look just like a paintball gun. If you want, I can post on a photo of it.
