haha! love the idea, great stuff as always

It was actually an accident... The cards were meant to stay up, but they started to fall so I quickly aimed and fired before they all did... I bumped the tripod with my hand which is why the camera shook... the timing makes it look like it's the awesome power behind the projectile which does it

I watched my way through almost all of these videos, a very well spent two hours.

Dissapointingly slow 516g slug shot at 7x against a 25L can of water.
I love hydrostatic shock

The low velocity is probably due to the burst disk not bursting. It just slips halfway out and stays there and restricts flow.
I am waiting for a new "American spec" union though

It is disappointing when you expect something around 17.000ft/lbs.. But I tried five more times to do another shot but I could not get ignition. Probably my fuel gauge that is broken so it might have been an extremely bad mix to.

Volumetric systems is not entirely universal, that is the main reason I use manometric metering. I can fuel a chamber the size of a plane just as easy as I fuel a pill bottle.

It was not a suprise that the gauge broke really (Haven't checked the ignition yet) since it was a 15USD one that didn't have any listed accuracy. On top of that I decided to reasemble my cannon on friday 13

Well, I guess it is pretty good for a 7x mix. And the fact that I am inspiring you to build hybrids inspires me to continue

Edit: Is there any way I can upload my video files so you can download it and watch it in higher quality/frame by frame?
It is interesting to see some stuff that repeats itself on the same targets. When shooting at those containers I used for the water shot there is allways a smoke ring forming at the moment the projectile impacts etc.

I think that some frames is lost after uploading to youtube. I think they compress it to 25 frames/sec while the raw file is 29frames/sec.
It is also better quality on the raw files

Actually, no. The frame rate of the MP4 file is virtually unchanged from the original. Your file is 29.9 frames a second. Some are 24, some are 25, some are 30 - same as they were before.

Quality <s>may</s> will change (to some degree), but I imagine a lot of the compression losses may be on your end when you compiled the file.

(That said, not everyone uses Firefox Download Helper. And some people are idiots. The two may occasionally correlate in some way.)

Hey guys been I while since Ive posted a highspeed shot, but today I was machining a bit of hdpe thats going to be a vortex block, and decided to film a little. I think it came out pretty cool so expect more with different materials, tools, and cuts.
