Anyway...I just got word that after my aircannon demo at the Pumpkin Chunking event in Belgium in 2010...the airpowered launchers were accepted.
THis means I don't have to keep in contact with the organisers hoping they don't forget about it and I'll never get a chance..

Bad thing is they allowed it LAST year so I won't be the first...
Some guys beat me to it!!
I did the work to get them accepted and now I missed the chance of being first...Oh well..
They never E-mailed me!!

The record now stands at 700-something meters...

Guys, i have a material dilemma!

As my GFs birthday is coming soon, i have been planning of making her a present (Damn she would kill me if i had forgotten) and part of it is going to be a chain that i actually have designed and modded from quite widely known Viking knit chain, pic:


Bad pic, but you should get the point. Its 3.5mm in diameter and made from .4mm silver wire. I also have a 5.5mm version, but i think that would be little too large and heavy looking for cute girl like her.

As my dilemma, should i use 925 sterling silver wire or silver coated copper wire? The sterling wire costs like 1.5€/m, as the coated wire is 2.20€/10m. It takes around 25-30 meters of wire to make a nice, long chain out of it.

So, what ya say? The coating on the .4mm wire is quite thick compared to the wires diameter...

The U.S. Army thought this was a good idea at the time (1962). It was never used. The Army sold it locally and the control cab moved around my town for several years as businesses used it for advertising. It always attracted much attention! It's actually bright orange in color.

That is quite a bit of volume..

I'm not sure I can match that on my budget..

they got first price on "most innovative design"..

that is a DAMN good idea.

They just need to make some modified rims so that you can make "dualies" have connected volume. And then stack 6+ tires together.

Not hard for them to figure out that simply going bigger will give them the desired result.

There is no way I can compete with a group of guys, backed by a company like that.

Blood and organs are a lot more forgiving than PVC when they turn to scrapnel though....

Much as I would never condone cruelty to animals, part of me really wishes that was true hehehe

edit:
