In other places, there is a thread I know of on another forum that has reached 6700 posts - I would link, but the off-topic forum there is only viewable by members that have over 10 posts there (anti-spam/junk measure), so you wouldn't be able to see it anyway - and if you could you'll know about it anyway.

ITWOST today... not much. I did upgrade my capacitor based ignition system today, and added another flash cap. I fixed it so that the stock camera circuit charges it, but can be isolated from the system before triggering the ignition, protecting it from the higher amperage that rigging up a bunch of capacitors will generate. I hope on using 9 or 10, if I can get them cheaply.

ITWOStomorrow, I'll finally get the chamber for my first prototype hybrid back, complete with 1/2" NPT threads for the sparkplug I built on the weekend. If all goes well, I might do a shot at night at 5x to see what the muzzle flash looks like.

ITWOST... I snagged a 1.5" ASCO Red Hat valve, and I think I'm going to whip up a simple GB cannon.

My 4 inch piston cannon has been completed (just about)
It basically is a over-under design, but just enlarged to a 3 inch porting.

whats left is the barrel support, which is a must for a cannon this size, the breech, which is not too important and can be done later, and just sand down the piston a little (i had already done alot)

My piston is a 3 inch end cap with a sealing face from mcmaster, its 1/8 inch thick 70 duometer rubber.
The chamber is 8' of 4" pipe.
The barrel is 10' of 3" pipe.

And i would like to thank Velocity for alot of help with my cannon and frogy (who seems to not be around any more)

I will get a picture soon.

I have not obviously tested it yet i just finished gluing and i hope it works!!

(I know that John Haehnel is making a piston out of epoxy and i wish the best of luck to him)

Well I havent posted the gun yet as i am having problems with its piston valve And this is going to set it back even further. Wont be able to get knew parts till this weekend

And it happend beacause I screwed a threaded elbow a little too far in

Im waiting for the epoxy to dry on my very first pneumatic sprinkler valve.

I have two weeks holiday end of this week, so just been holding my projects until end of the week. Got my stungun circuit working though


Sad news in NZ yesterday, six teenagers and a teacher killed in a raging river in New Zealand were hit by floodwaters which raised the river level 36-fold in half an hour, sweeping some of them downstream through a rugged, boulder-strewn gorge.

I didn't know the people, but they live in the same city and are the same age as me, so it hits home a lot more as you can relate to them. I also had friends at the same time on a similar outdoor adventure close to where this happened, and for awhile we didn't know if it was kids from our school, or from another.

Just so hard to believe what happened, I don't even know the people who died, but you can relate to them so well.

Well today I just got back from firing a water rocket a bigger one that flew straight up turned left suddenly and crashed in a swamp NOOOOW I'm going to salvage it and make a smaller rocket one that won't destroy itself.

I'll bet I can guess why it turned left...
