I made piece very similar to yours a couple of years ago. It went on a machine designed by "Gal". It was quite effective, but your design is much better. I made the baffles as individual segments and stacked them in the tube......dumb idea. I really like your one piece baffle! Excellent!

Update: the monobloc design worked amazingly on the 22LR with subsonics, hollywoodesque rodent flatulence

In the meantime got even more orders, had no idea there was so much demand!

How well are the plastic baffles holding up to the .22lrs? And have you tried them with some stingers or the like, to see how durable they are? Don't forget to try Aguila SSS and the primer only loads.

Haven't tested it very extensively but no doubt that they are holding up to the pressure very well. 22LR from a long barrel isn't putting that much pressure on muzzle exit anyway, have a look at this:

As such I'm not concerned about the baffles blowing out. What is worrying me is the heat, delrin has a maximum working pressure of around 150 degrees - but I stressed that this is not suitable for rapid fire, and in practice they will be used mostly for single shots, not a day at the range. In the case of the ones I'm making for tapered barrels that aren't threaded, the bush is delrin so that's a bigger concern than the baffles, but the ones I tested seem to be holding up well so far.

Another concern is that since it's all hammered into a sealed unit, cleaning is going to be a bit of a problem, but again these aren't going on belt fed machine guns.

Don't forget to try Aguila SSS and the primer only loads.

The former is prone to tumble from standard rifling, not sure if it's actually available here. The latter would be hammer-spring-only quiet I'm sure

Naturally, one of the reasons I'm making extensive use of delrin is to keep the prices reasonable.

Perhaps consider selling something like this with the suppressor, if your skill permits. Thy look like a bastard to machine. Linky

I also nearly bought a coupling that uses the front sight as a lug, I think it was going fairly cheap, but I've had to move the rifle on, and the next one will already be threaded to 1/2-20tpi.

I was pondering those couplings, the biggest issue really is the thread cutting. I would be forced to use the sherline thread cutting attachment, which is a wonderful bit of kit but a pain in the arse to set up, the time consumed would have added considerably to the price.

A budget alternative would be simply to use a brass compression fitting as a starting point.



What encouraged me to use delrin however was the fitment of BR reflex suppressors.

Barrel bush

The interchangeable bush at the rear of the Reflex Suppressor is Delrin for hunting rifles, or brass for military weapons (so it won't melt with sustained full-auto fire). The bush must be bored on a lathe to the correct size to fit each individual barrel.

If they can do it, I guess so can I I shied away from brass in order to avoid scratching the barrels on which these are to be mounted on.

A couple of completed suppressors for Shinsung rifles, since plain tubes are boring I milled some grooves into one of them, simple but it adds to the effect.

How much does one of these suppressor cust?

I'm selling them for between 55 and 70 euros.

These have no effect on pneumatics right?
