I don't know what country you live in but I know for a fact that coper jacketed 7.26x39's and 7.62x54's will go through plenty of 1/4" steel. If you want pics, I can provide.

Something tells me that said 7.62mm rounds won't leave a hole 14.3mm across :wink:
