you are right. The diameter of a AA battery is 0.56", but after removing the sticker/wrapper from the exterior of the battery, it's a perfect fit.
Cool... I´m planning to build an AA Launcher... just guessing the diameter of the Barrel... Maybe use the following combination: "U" Design + 2" Chamber + 1" Ball Valve + 1" Barrel.
Dont blame about the Ball Valve ;x /me Poor boy >.<
Just trying to realize the size of the chamber and the barrel. Maybe, 60" Barrel, 40" Chamber...
