Very easy to damage (if it is damaged, just don't use it at all), not to be taken past 140psi, and will almost always burst past 180psi. Still not a very good pressure vessel, but workable.

Using pressure-rated metal threaded fittings is a LOT less dangerous than using plastic bottles. It's nigh on impossible to rupture sch40 steel fitting with pressure supplied by bike pump alone. The shrapnel from plastic containers, at least at close range, is very dangerous.

If you really can't pay a few dollars for some pressure-rated parts at least get something with a gauge so you know when you're pushing it. Ghetto builds can be fun and interesting, but not if you're in constant danger of it exploding because you have no idea how close it is to bursting.

End of safety lecture. No more on that from me.

Or almost ANY other seller of plumbing products. You should be able to find some locally, they're a pretty standard building material. Where you live they may not be called such, if they're in metric or identified by some other system.

That's the idea... just look around the showcase. Almost everything is either pressure-rated PVC or some sort of metal.

Sweet, I'm making a compact pistol next, this one with a blow gun trigger, it'll truly be a semi automatic, it'll fire 6mm BB's, you know, the works xD

You are currently experiencing a McMaster high- the belief that you can build anything now that you have access to all sorts of pipe fittings you never even knew about before. Don't worry, it'll pass.

No..I had ideas to build those things some time ago, the Mcmaster stuff will make it easy now, as I was wondering how to make a air tank small and portable, soda bottles aren't exactly very portable ya know. I also needed new materials anyways, the crap I buy at the store near my house?Not pressure rated, dirty as hell and generally not trusted. As a first, the stuff I bought will work. But I know at least what will work and what won't know (such as duster bottles...) and I also need a damn job...

Also, I can build anything, as long as technology allows it and I'll be financially, mentally, physically, emotionally, sexually and socially stable after I finish it. (<- this was a joke by the way..can't really show it through text...)

By the way, if you have any decent hardware stores locally you'll be able to buy stuff 2" and under much cheaper than mcmaster sells it. Even home depot sells stuff like this.

Seeing as I don't own a car, or have a job, I think asking my parents to pay with their credit card and then paying with my allowance cash is easier than asking my dad to drive me to Home Depot to pick some stuff up. As I am still an amateur, I'll have to make several trips as I'm bound to make mistakes, so I must say, McMaster is the better option. Also I bought a 2 liter bottle of Ginger Ale, as soon as its finished, it'll have a new purpose
