so if I make this piston and put it into a 2" T and have a 2 inch pipe, down to a 1" pilot on one side, and a 2" to a 1.5" on the other, it will work? I am getting confused, i thought it was the size of the piston face that determined which direction it would go. will i be bale to use it the way i listed?

Sounds right, that's how I do it.

do I need to modify the adapter, so that the 1.5" barrel goes into the T, or can I do a regular adapter, and go from a 2" to a 1.5" outside of the T?, do I have to modify anything inside of the T, or can I just put the piston in it?

Yeah the pipe needs to go into the tee, so modify the bushing.

Yes it is helpful, but one question, where does the air go in in the picture u posted, cuz if it goes in behind the pilot, it wont make it to the chamber

there needs to be a small leak between pilot and the chamber.

depending on the type of piston you use, you may have to make a small check valve, and or a few small equalization holes. This is what confused me when I started making ptstons!!
