My fittings are BSP, can't say how it fits with NPT.

QEV arrived today, very smart and chamber/pilot threads are perfectly compatible with the other fittings I've bought, which makes them 1/4" BSP.

The "barrel" end as far as I can tell is 3/8" BSP.

I'm going to make a small chamber and have some fun with these parts, if all goes well I'll do a little Volkshalbautomatische write-up :)

Jack, if you don't mind my asking, can you measure the dimensions of the qev? Like the width, height, and length?

ohh btw I wasn't joking when I suggested machining a T with an inbuilt air cylinder for it... if you think of it all you need is a brass rod with 4 ports cut in it (barrel + valve + magazine + aircylinder supply port).

What would the air cylinder to, cycle a bolt?

exactly

now that you have a lathe you can probably make this fairly compact... if you're not convinced yet... think of it - it would require machining

:D

... but the idea here is to show that something can be made without machining ;) I even cast the chamber endcaps out of epoxy!

Something along those lines is in the works, it's a bit far from coming to fruition though.

The chamber is curing in the lab oven as we speak, hope to give the setup a go this evening.

Two questions (one of which is in two parts):
1 - How hot, how long?
2 - How much curing time do you save?

I'd love to reduce curing time for epoxies but seeing as you don't do it at home, you either don't own an oven or a conventional oven is not appropriate.
