That post that appears to be a direct copy from UKSGC - just a note, I would assume that most of these guys don't know who "Ragnarok" is.

@ Everyone else: Assuming that you don't, "Ragnarok" is the alias my twin brother uses on UKSGC. He browses here occasionally, but hasn't joined yet.

Hotwired's prices are fairly accurate for UK copper. I've put conversions in, but I imagine that it's cheaper than that in the US.

15mm is about £2 a meter ($3.50 equivalent)
22mm is about £4 a meter ($7)
And 28mm is about £4-5 a meter ($7-9)

It's normally used for gas and water (hot and cold) pipes around the home, and I presume the same applies in the US. You should be able to find it in most DIY stores.

It's possible to go between 6mm and 54mm, but we tend to use between 15mm and 28mm, because 1) they're most common and 2) the low sizes are really too small, and the large sizes get very expensive.

Copper can look very nice if it's polished - if it dulls, then it's still good, but not as impressive in photos.

how did you make the breech? Looks simple but i don't get it.

Just change the pipe sizes as appropriate.

I have put a 28mm barrel on this gun now, and i have taken the breech off, i wont be putting a breech loader on this as the next size up (35mm) is very expensive,)
With the 28mm barrel it is alot more powerful i was shooting through 3/4" board then through 1/2" straingth after with a large chunk of copper.

Overall i prefer the gun like this as it has a more compact, chunky kind of feel to it, its quite heavy to, about 6kg.

The barrel is 118cm and because of lack of a 28-22 reducer i used a 22mm coupling and i thing it looks better as it fits inside the pipe.
