What would be good, instead of either the new look or the old look, have the option to have the new look, or the new look with darker colours. I liked the old colours, but it dosn't have all the features that the new spudfiles does.

I like the new look too just I don't like the brightness. You should change the white to a light gray.

I think you should give it another chance. I think most of you that don't like it say that just because it's different. If you gave it some time, you would learn to like it.
I may sound like an ass, but yes this design is much more modern, cleaner, easier to read and it overall looks more professional. The other style was made when I was around 15, it's more kiddish and looks more like amateur work. This may be why some of the younger crowd still wants the old style.
If some of you don't like it I'm sorry. Earlier today it was bugging me having people not like it, but I have to remind myself that I can't make everyone here happy. If I switched back, I would get a different set of people complaining the same way.
Look at some of the most popular, useful sites on the net. Most of them are a light-themed site. Studies have shown that dark text on a light background is easier on the eyes. If SpudFiles really burns your eyes that bad, then the rest of the internet must as well. You may consider turning down your brightness if you find that other websites hurt your eyes too, since they shouldn't.
SpudFiles is moving towards a more professional tone, and it's looks need to reflect it. Some of it's users need to reflect it too, but that is much harder to control. I encourage everyone to use the new style if they can learn to like it, since it is faster, easier on the server, and it will be more supported by myself with modifications and such.
I made the pure white on the site to a very slight off white, maybe it will help some of your "eyes burning". However I won't make it any darker.

Yeah, I say kit out the old spudfiles instead of the new one. The new one has good features but I like the old one better.
Edit:Just saw your post PCGUY, I agree totally with what your saying, ill check out the 'upgraded' white and see how it influences me

I suppose we'll get used to it, but your right, the site looks lots better and cleaner overall.
How come it no longer tells you if a member is online in their profile?

It does now, forgot to port that over.
If anyone else notices anything like that, or has any suggestions for the new style, let me know.

Theres only one thing that doesnt look right that I've found. When you click 'cannons' at the top of the page, the different pictures that come up look out of place because they were coloured to blend in with the old colours.

Constantly? You mean just a few moments ago?
I was dumping a backup of SpudFiles, it's normal. Things are fine now.

Not the entire time, that was the third. It happened twice earlier today. Between 11 and now.
