For a 2" valve a 1/4" ball valve should vent it well.

Is it OK to use gorrila glue to fill the solenoid hole? i did this and its kinda leaking..... i think ill scrape it out and fill it with epoxy, because gorila glue doesnt really seal that well against PVC. it just peels right off. i also got some in my valve and it foamed up and filled the equalization hole so i had to cut my own. i made it too big though..... gaaaaa im buying a new valve and trying again. but still, has anyone used gorrila glue and had it work?

I would not use gorilla glue to fill the solenoid hole, simply becuase the way gorilla glue works is that it expands when drying, creating air pockets, and the chances are good that you'll have a leak. Epoxy is worth the cost, not that it costs very much.

my watermaster is leaking out the barrel and i put a ball valve in front of it and when i turn it to get ready to shoot the sprinler valve just leaks no "equalization" happening. Ive taken it apart like 4 times and put my bros paintball gun lube (dow 33 i think) on both sides of the phram and the edge and yet it still leaks!

You may not have the same valve and problems that I had, but there were multiple things I did to fix it. First, take out the little piece of 1/4"x1/4" plastic UNDERNEATH the diaphragm, above it all you can see of it is a little spiky piece of plastic. Pull this out. File down the plastic rim that surrounds the giant rubber washer thing that is part of the diaphragm. It is underneath what you can see, so you have to pull it out. I oiled mine with regular vegetable oil. Finally, I shortened my hose to about a foot long. By doing this, I effectively stopped all problems with my sprinkler valve, and now it works like a charm! Hey pyro in one of your photos you show a spring sticking up off the diaphragm. Is that where it is supposed to go, because on my valve it came just kind of lying sideways on the diaphragm. No matter where I put the spring there is too much or too little pressure and the valve doesn't work.

Yeah... the spring is supposed to go there. There is a small piece of white plastic that sites in the middle of the diaphragm, and it has a circular groove on it. The spring fits inside of that. I don't know why yours would be sideways, but as I said before, mine didn't seem to create enough pressure at first and then I modded some things. (Modded the sprinkler valve, took out the little 1/4"x1/4" piece of plastic that was stuck in the equalization hole, [not the big piece of plastic in the middle], greased the underside of the phram, and I also filed down the edges of the plastic surrounding the valve. (see past posts.) I also had to increase the size of my chamber. If it is too small, IT WONT WORK. Hope this helps you!

I have a big enough chamber but I may have not been using enugh pressure. The guage I have installed won't read any psi so I have no idea how much I have. With the spring in the middle there it seemed like there was too much force on the diaphragm and all the air just went out the blowgun. I also took out the little plastic piece but it didn't change much.

Yeah, gorrila glue didnt work..... i fizxed it though. turns out a mix of ground up gorrila glue and superglue works pretty well. kinda messy..........

I tried using car body filler (Bondo, Cuz) and was surprised to find out that stuff didn't seal very well. I covered the top and bottom of the Bondo plug with some JB weld which solved most of my problems. I also tried some clear epoxy by another manufacturer but it feels brittle, I'll probably chisel that stuff off and use more JB weld.
By the way how much of an improvement was gained by shortening the hose?

new valve: set up exactly the same. In fact, I used the same blowgun valve, and the same hose, I just disconnected it from my last one. I lubed it up (it was sticky) with vaseline, blocked all of the solenoid holes, everything I did on my last one. - - - It has about 1/5 the power as my original valve. Any ideas?

Don't know pyro, but I used JB weld on my rainbird and it seals just fine.

Any real difference between an anti-siphon valve and a regular one?
