I'm glad to say that a large majority of my school knows what a spudgun is and has seen it work. Although, I caused them (or, in essence forced them) to know what it is. I am in a boarding school so I fire my cannon on the weekend. Also, I did my science project on spudguns, so at least ten people (if they were paying attention) knows what propane metering is and how a piston valve works. I bet they forgot though.

The thing that really gets to me though is not the people who ask foolishly how it works or for plans, but it is the people who say: "Dude, that's crazy. Hey, lets shoot it at someone!" Sure, stand over there for me.

Most elite and intellectually astute individuals around huh? I like the sound of that. Elite Spudgunner and Intellectual, yea.

@ A-98,well I pretty much just mess around with everything in all classes and have arrived to school once on time in the past 6 weeks of this semester and various other alcoholic related reasons...

I asked a person at my Local Bunnings store(like Lowes or similar)for a BSP/NPT 1/4 pipe Tap and he looked at me and said we have some air compressor pieces in 1/4 is that an air compressor part?Ohh and did I mention he was once a registered Plumber  .

A guy in my class is being held beck if he doesn't do summer school. He flunked math. I kinda want him back there but i feel sad that he'd have the worst class in the entire school to be with. But hes retarded and has asked for plans before i gave him a simple pnuematic plan and he never made it.

I bet there's only 10 other spudguns in the nz besides mr crowleys.

oh man my dad is licensed plumber, electrician, and has various master's in engineering, but I don't quit understand him on certain stuff, like why he likes to put silicone on pvc thread, doesn’t he know he can buy all those parts in socket wet form and save money and silicon and that threaded parts are so you can detach them for fixing.

once I explained how clide completely took the competition with his gb-semi he look surprised and suddenly said “you have to make one of those”, I wanted to slap him I would never directly copy someone’s design I vow never to make a plain spud gun ever (oh whops i forget to say that was between a friend and I)

once I was talking about plans to make a repeating crossbow, and some guy says “I’d freak out if I saw someone staring a school massacre with a repeating crossbow” or something like that, I wanted to slap him cause few gun owners are criminals, and about zero kids who make home made ballistic stuff are psychos who want to kill you.

IKM3T: I gotta agree with the people at your school... if some guy came in and started a school massacre with a repeating crossbow, or any other weapon for that matter, I too would freak out

If my dad EVER embraced ANY of my spudgun designs, I would be so happy... hey, you should have asked your dad to buy you a lathe after he wanted you to build a GB Semi

When i finish school in about 4 months, im going to get back into real gun shooting at the range near my house. Im also going to maybe take up paintball shooting. Ill also be able to spend much more time with my spudguns when i finish school.

Im also hoping that the people at the gun range will allow me to shoot my spud guns there because my mom doesn't want them to be too powerful when i shoot them at home. I do live near an oval to shoot my spud guns, and she doesn't mind that, its just a school uses the oval during school hours.

Most people know someone who knows someone who built a basic hairspray cannon. When I tell them about the more advanced ones they say things like "these people have too much free time...blah blah".

The people who don't know jack squat think it's too dangerous, or compare it to a bomb, or some such.
