77-84ms? that dosent sound like much, do you think you could run my cane gun stats as well so i can compare the velocities?
barrel: ID 5mm OD 5.5mm L 90cm
chamber: ID 8mm L 90cm
pilot valve: shrader valve
pilot volume: 1cm3
pressure: 400psi
ammo: airgun pellet
if you could that would be great thanks

No problem, but how much does the pellet weigh?

Well then... certainly better...

yea that one sounds better, i know that on the larger one it has to move a heavier projectile but i still would have thought it would have been a bit better then just 77-84ms

well, unless I'm going to buy an emulator program...no HGDT for me :(

I wanted to model a 3/4"x12" hybrid with a 1/2" burstdisk run at 5x to see at what point lengthening the barrel would stop being worth the inconvenience

anyone used 8mm ball bearings and know what kind of speed you used then at and what kind of damage they can do for what speed

edit: decided 1m is to long if i am actually going to make it, so you think i could be a pain and ask if you could redo it with 60cm barrel and 40cm camber of same caliber as before and same ammo and so on... thanks

Wine is free. I think it's also important to know that a Mac OS is a UNIX-like OS, so Wine will work on Mac OSX (with a newer Intel processorand using the X11 server). Never tried running GGDT on Wine, though, so you might run into a few snags getting the dependencies to work.

Did you know that WINE stands for Wine Is Not an Emulator?

lol. I've heard that it works with HGDT.

What we should do is have a site that you upload data files to that will run GGDT or HGDT on them, then return a data file.

Sort of like the online video converters and that site that will tell you the shutter count of your DSLR.

Or D_Hall could compile it for Mac and Linux...

These specs?
coaxial piston valve
barrel: OD 10mm ID 8mm L 100cm
chamber: ID 14mm L 100cm / 60cm (would like to know both, )
pilot valve: modified blowgun (could it take 400psi?)
pressure: 400psi
ammo: 8mm steel ball

OOOOOOO!!!! It's an infinite recursive structure! Gödel, Escher, Bach anyone?

Just like PHP Hypertext Processor. Further proof that computer nerds should never be allowed to play with mirrors as children.

I've asked, he simply responded that he would if any one would be so kind as to buy him a mac

Thats a good idea, but I'd love to just sit and play around with the program without having someone else have to input my theoretical numbers and scenarios
