Cigarette vaping? My mind immediately jumped to the other kind of vaping but I remembered some folks here like their eCigarettes.
For those who ride motorbikes, is it just me or will this bike be too heavy and long to ride properly?

its hard to steer long raked bikes but the weight won't be a problem, anyway that a show bike no one's gonna ride it to work everyday!

Vaporising. I think the term 'vaping' was simply 'borrowed' from eCigs because its easier to say than "tonight I'm gonna use the vaporiser [and then order some pizza, and watch the matrix!]"

That guy needs a statistician, the differences might not have been significant
It would be interesting to test how many people go out of their way to run over something harmless like a turtle or bird and then to see how many of them fail some psychological test. I think you have to be at least a bit disturbed to purposefully run over a turtle.

Completely off-topic and not really a topic at all but I JUST GOT A NEW CONTRACT and start Monday.
Having been out of work for almost five months and fast approaching fifty, you have no idea how frustrating it has been sitting through interviews conducted by twelve year olds with the worldly experience of a pubescent hamster.
I figured I could not spend the rest of my days hanging out on SF and playing COD so it is a massive relief to be back in the game.
Just wanted to shout that out to the world, there, I feel better now.
Cheers

Some quick questions
1. Any suggestions for pellets that are good for "target shooting"?
2. Is it possible to transform a normal mill/lathe to a CNC? Or I'm better off directly buy a hobby CNC?
3. How can I make threads on a lathe? Both male and female and compatible
Thanks

1. Most everything I have likes JSB pellets...ultimately, you have to buy different pellets and shoot them to find what your rifle "likes" best...no one can just tell you for sure. I will suggest you at least try JSB Exact Heavies and H&N Baracuda match.
2. Absolutely possible to convert a lathe or mill to cnc. It's done every day somewhere. Google will turn up a lot of stuff.
3. Internal:

External:

Make some chips...and some mistakes

...once you get "on to" it, it's not hard.

Thanks, but about the pellets... I wasn't talking about target shooting, but "target shooting", not sure if it's forbidden talking about it so...
Btw I need an account to open the llinks

When I'm "target shooting" with my 2240 at close ranges Benjamin Discovery hollow point domed 14.3gr. Pellets seem to always take my targets down first time

I found some hollow points and was wondering how much damage would they do. Can you please define "close range"?

Talking about hunting with something intended for that purpose has been allowed before...even pics of the fellow with the turkey. Hunting with spudguns is discouraged...and rightly so. Mostly I still use the JSB domes...occasionally i use predator polymags ...also made by JSB. Too destructive for small game IMO.
From single shot pump or pcp rifles a wadcutter loaded backward is a good for short range pesting.
Pm if you've further questions about that.

the only way iv ever done it is with a chasing dial equipped lathe and you just set the right gears to do the pitch/tpi you need, turn minor dia/major dia, engage the chasing dial in the right point each time until you have have reached full depth.

Ah yes, were they also attractive blondes? That has been my experience for about a year now...

Some blonde but none particularly attractive, at least not to a middle aged white male. I guess it depends on your type.
The single most frustrating aspect of the whole process was the total lack of engagement of any of these so-called professional recruiters. The litany of faults is almost endless but some highlights:
- Never return a phone call or an email
Complete lack of any command of the Queen's English yet insisting that candidates must have "excellant verbol an writen skills". That's pretty much a direct quote from one of my favourites.
Lie about the position description (Contract vs. permanent etc.)
Lie about the achievable hourly rate
Never read a resume in full, only read the first paragraph and then reply saying you lack the skill set so clearly enunciated in paragraph two.
Here's hoping that when I renew in a few months time that the recruiter who actually took the time to get to know me and find me a role is still around.

I can only imagine how terrible that was, Western civilisation is doomed at this rate and, some might say, rightfully so.
