Hum but you can do a lot custom parts with the tap (I´d ask for a couple more of these later

)...
So how about 20 euros?

You caught me in a good mood because it's Friday ;P 20 euros, but you will probably have to wait about a month till I get the tap, make it and send it. If you're fine with that I'll go ahead and order the tap.
How deep do you need the 5/8" threads... for the whole 50mm? Or is say 30mm enough?
Also, is the 1/4" thread you mentioned 1/4" BSP?

). I can wait. Thanks

To thread the whole part I would need to also buy a bottom tap:
That would not make it worth 20 euros.
A normal tap only will mean that around 5/8" from the end of the hole would not be fully threaded:

30mm it's enough

, and a little chamfer in the start of the threading for the oring. Same as a paintball tank.

Can you give me the o-ring diameter (as installed)?

I don't really need a groove for the oring. Can you check one of your paintball regulators? I just want to install one on it. I'd measure the oring but I'm not home now

If you want the o-ring to seal, you need a recess to be cut for it, it won't seal on the thread. Don't really want to take my tanks apart...
No rush, it will be a week at least before the tap arrives.

ok, I will pm you later tonight

Edit diagram:
(A 45 degree 1.5mm chamfercould work too, maybe easier to make? )

Boring a straight section slightly undersize to the o-ring will work better and be easier do make.
It's the method used here

Well, you are the machinist, not me

as soon as it works

BTW, how much would that pen gun cost?

A fully machined one like that, material cost is low but the amount of time it would take to put together and finish means that I wouldn't sell one for less than €200.
