That as well... but the biggest source of torment is the fact that the gun involved is a WW2 vintage Sturmgewehr that is at least 60 years old...

Not sure if they are vintage:

take a look here:

They are in production as a semi auto and from what i have heard easily converted to auto. The old FN rifles only needed a match stick to convert to auto. As this site indicates, with a little know how a lathe and a mill, you can pretty much produce anything.

I'd appreciate it if you'd stay away from comments hinting how to convert semi to full...

If you think this is crazy...wait untill you see his contact-lense controlled matchlock musket....mounted on a quadrocopter....

I understand, but I did not give instructions or comment on " how too " i said I had heard they were easily converted.

No worries, I understand protecting this sites intergitrity and liability. Me bad.

My post was directed more to the fact that misteriously thousands of Sturm-44s show up in almost pristine condition. Only 426,000 were manufactured by Germany in 1943, and saw use in the soviet block countries up to the 80's. Argentina copied them briefly as well.

Looks like you Dutch can be pretty smug about your education system :) jake, you're doing OK too :D

I always thought that people my age or over complaining that young people are getting stupider was simply the typical generational grumbling that has been going on for millennia, but this does seem to bear out that there is some truth in the matter...

Hmm.. with all the recent cutting in the education budget I doubt if we'll be on that list for a few more years..

Also, if I introduce you to my school you'll really start to question the outcome of that study :D
It's pure crap, glad i'm going to an university next year..

I can only agree with this, the people my age are really degrading.
Especially immigrants from north-west Africa are a huge problem where I live. The older generation is well-mannered and friendly, but the second generation is full of douchebags robbing and molesting people.
Sadly the government is too politically correct to say they are a problem

We got exactly the same problem here as Lab has. But there are individuals in their early 20s that act like the elder ones, respecting other people for giving them a safe place to life.

Well to be exact, immigrants from Africa here are all pretty well mannered and nice pople, but people from Romania or middle east are not, that's why Finland has so much nazism and racism these days

Can't say much about this matter as I'm a immigrant myself.
Things are pretty bad in public schools, African people also gypsy people cause a lot problem, they also have kids in a young age. But it's hard to fix the problem without raising "racism" related comments. In private school and good college however it's modern society. In my college everyone is nice and educated, no "swagger"s either.
Too bad people with decent education it's less and less comparing with rude douches. All my friends from my former school (private) got into college while in most public ones their student can't make it.
