Actually know a very talented girl who can do that 8)
I am testing it as we speak and I am having problems with getting water to boil at room temperature (well ok more like 80 deg C). Not sure if it's because of leaks or boiling happens but the fridge can't keep up with it. Well it's a shame as that is probably one of those things that a vacume pump should be able to do
EDIT
Just achieved boiling but with a vodka glass filled with water - not the entire pressure vessel
Apparently the problem is two fold:
1. Compressor flow is limited
2. Near boiling condition occur and cool the water down very rapidly
So before pressure drops enough for boiling to occur the temperature of it drops to room temperature
EDIT #2
Realized I recently bought a nice pressure sensor and a TFT LCD screen - so what can you do if you have a pressure sensor and you're testing a vacuum pump ??
This was quick, lighting is bad but just had to test it. There are still some tiny leaks I couldn't fix (neither got a pipe wrench nor even pliers)

Anyway been playing with the sensor for a while and I am seriously considering getting back to spudding just to have a chance to integrate electronics, sensors and pneumatics together.
What do you think of this sensor ?

Less than $10 and goes up to 100psi - good enough for a propane/butane regulator, huh ?
Remember those fast switching valves I bought?? Well I guess I can finally find a use for them
(Might not want to click this video BTW - has in stream ads.. pasting it because I can't find the original thread on them)

Cast without bubbles
Collapse a 200 litre metal drum, I've done it several times at my former employ, great fun

Both. Leaks make a big difference. Did you try making a condenser between the water vessel and the pump to avoid saturation?
This is a bit hypocritical since many people will see it on their iWhatevers, in the same way that Fight Club is a Hollywood movie, but nonetheless well done:

yeah I assume so - let's face he's experienced and wouldn't use a backstop not placed at an oblique angle
but damn that's one clever way to get it viral

Let them have their petty rants.

Why does this subreddit exist?
It only validates the incoherent ramblings of tumblrinas that should simply be ignored.
