dayum my dad has alot of tools in his basement

anyways i highly doubt my dad will let me use it, like this is what i foresee when i ask him about the compressor

me : dad can i use your air compressor

dad : air compressor?

me: that red tank thing in your basement

dad : how'd you know i had one

me : i saw it

dad : what are you going to use it for

me : my gun

once he hears "gun" NO

like he wasn't aware of my potato gun but i guess he's cool with it now

hmm guys im gonna think about this to convince him if i could use it

so if i don't get to use the air compressor, i might as well think ahead to build a tank just incase

what im not sure of is the brass hose and the shrader valve

which of the following would be the shrader valve in this link below:
http://www.homedepot.ca/webapp/wcs/stor ... ial&s=true

and where would i get that brass hose?

Then don't say gun. That simple.

Dad: What are you going to use it for?

You: A science project for school

Dad: What is it?

You: My teacher showed us a demonstration of how tornado's are formed and what happens over when they go over water. He said that they can pick up objects from the ground and fling them out hundreds of feet, so I asked if the same thing could be done with air pressure. He said yes it could so I'm trying to make a demonstration to prove it using small objects in a chamber with an air input and an output where the object will be forced out. Think of it like a vortex.

Dad: Okay son, just don't break my tools.

Im nopt sure what brass hose your talking about, but the one labeled tire chuck is what you would use on a compressor to pump a sharder.

Just tell your dad your making a small bb gun and you need a constant air source to power it. Convince him that it will do very little damage and you just want to build it because you saw it online and what to see how it works.

I really wish you did some proper research and knew what you were doing...

None of those are schrader valves, they are tire-chucks that fit over schrader valves so you can pump them up. If you use the air compressor just use Quick Connects and Quick Disconnects, you can find out for yourself what they are.

Schrader valves and everything and anything else can be found here:
http://www.mcmaster.com/

Just search for them. The brass hose isn't a hose and you don't need it. It's just an extension on the tire-chuck.

This is what i spoke of before. He did not directly answer your question so you disreguard everything he says and continue to ask more questions.

Do a little research man.

Shraders are the same valves you find on a bike tire. You can get them at any auto shop/bike shop or simply cut up an intertube.

Seeing as how your compressor is setup for quick connects, USE THEM instead of a shrader. Less things you need to buy.

A small tank charger to 100 psi will not give you 1-2 minutes of fire. Maybe 2-3 seconds depending on flow.

Where did I even reference Home Depot anywhere in any of my posts to you? DO SOMETHING FOR YOURSELF FOR ONCE.

Found the air compressor right next to that wonder-wrench I see....

Nose, a couple of questions if you don't mind...just for information purposes...I promise.

- How old are you?
- What ever possessed you to pick the name "nosebleedXD"

I rather agree. Until I see more proof that you've actually bothered to do you own research I'm not going to provide you with any more potentially dangerous information.

I'm not the type to tell every new user to RTFM, or "Google is your friend", because I recognise that if you don't know some information in the first place to have an idea of what you're looking for, it can be hard to find anything useful...

... but we've provided several links, lots of advice - which is easily enough to give you that kick start, but you're still insisting on being spoon-fed.

hey sorry if i piss you guys off cause im really stupid, i tried my best to look through the links

so i saw their was a vortex gun and a bbmg, no idea what the two are

and lastly as i said before my dad probably wont let me use his air compressor but haven't gotten time to ask, so do paintball tanks work?
