ok these are my 2 shops in my home and a picture of my favorite tool. the first small shop is for small projects and airsoft tinkering and tooling. shop numero 2 is a lot larger and has my power tools and soon to have a lathe (it is also home to 2 N scale train layouts. one is on its side in the corner and the other is concealed by the black curtain)

I've used jig saws like those. They are a beast that can be hard to control. They dance too much for fine work. They are OK for making a big hole in Sheetrock to install the new dryer vent, but they are not my favorite tool.

I just want a cheap saw thats good enough so cut wooded pard for simple stocks, and for pieces for a slingshot rifle, by jig saws like that do you means cheap jig saws. or thats style of jig saws

Hate to double post but I just went out and bought the Craftsman Evolv Corded Jig Saw, I have yet to test it but I will post a few pics after testing and maybe a video. I plan to use it to cut a few stocks. Now heres the unboxing pics.

I also have the evolve. I really like it ,it makes nice turns and has a smooth blade change. The reliability has been great so far.It is also great at cutting sheet PVC.

Thanks that reassured me since I wasn't 100 percent sure about it since it was so cheap, 30 dollars, how does it work on wood, I'm planning on using to cut out a few stocks

I haven't tried on anything like oak or walnut but it handles plywood pretty well. The lever on the side is supposed to help when cutting wood but not anything harder but, I have never bothered to try it out.
