Just take the bottle with the cap on, take the two ends of the bottle, (one in each hand), and then twist. Twist it into an hourglass shape until you can't twist it anymore because of the pressure, and then loosen the cap just slightly. Then, flick off the cap and it does the same thing, except quieter. Good thing to do if you don't have a bike pump at school with you.

want to here somthing loud at out school we fold up a milk carton after we drink it as if it had never had been opened and then jump on it as hard as we can. i got in trouble because a lunchroom moniter thought it was a gun .

shove the schrader in the neck of the bottle
drill a 1/2" hole in the cap
screw cap on to hold schrader in
presurize to about 100 psi
lay bottle on it's side
take a stick with a screw sticking out of it and hit the bottle with it so that the screw punctures the bottle
be prepared for shotgun like blast

I have actually cast a zinc lid for 2 liter bottles. I pump it up with hybrid mix, then ignite. It is very loud.
I may post pics/video soon.

Actually they aren't as dangerous as you might think. I did some pretty extensive testing (
here), and what separates them from the
dry ice bombs is that you put the lid on well before there is any explosion risk.
These weren't the only ones I did, I tested a variety of bottles including bottles for still water, 1.5L and 2L ones, tape wrapping to improve burst pressure and a few other bits and pieces. So long as you are sensible and wear ear and eye protection it's really not that dangerous at all.
Try to let people make their own decisions twizi; just because you think something is dangerous
doesn't mean it should be banned so no-one can enjoy it. Many governments and the uninformed think our hobby is dangerous, but we know it's not, and I get pretty annoyed when people say it should be banned giving no more justification than "it's dangerous".
Well the rules here on Spudfiles say they are banned/prohibited from discussion here on Spudfiles.

The Rules That Are wrote:Explosive device: Any device that has the capability to release large amounts of stored energy rapidly.
Discussion of fireworks as projectiles is prohibited.
Discussion of "soda bottle bombs" or any other similar devices that may cause shrapnel as a result of uncontrolled rupture is prohibited.
