What's wrong with sprinkler valves?

Garrettee, there is nothing wrong with sprinkler valves, just pistons are better.

Now, to finish this arguement, any chamber sealing valve needs o-rings to keep air from leaking from the pilot to the barrel. Since no sprinkler I've seen has a piston with o-rings I'm going to have to say that sprinkler valves are barrel sealers. Case closed. If you don't beleive me that air will leak from the pilot to the barrel without o-rings then here's a picture so you can see for yourself.

Well I don't personally know but I trust D_Hall as he is a navy weapons expert and invented GGDT.

It's really obvious though, no o-rings, no separation of pilot and barrel. Any diaphrahm valve MUST be a barrel sealing valve(unless you find a way to put o-rings on a floppy piece of rubber in which case you will have the oddest looking yet coolest working diaphrahm ever).

nice

iceman, as I have said in 2 threads now, we dont generally send out plans because if you cant figure it out you shouldn't be building one, but specific questions are acceptable. Look around the forum and spud wiki to find out more, and then try construct a cannon. And this is an old thread.
