Which buttons? You mean in OSX? Or on the machines themselves? I'm curious as to what you're confused about.

I was thinking the same thing, i used to use Mac's at intermediate(like Jr. High) and it was the worse experience of my life, couldn't find out how to do anything, dragging and dropping was a pain. And it wouldn't even let me delete anything and I couldn't find the recycle bin.

Dragging and dropping was a pain? See, this is what makes me question PC user's criticisms. APPLE INVENTED DRAG AND DROP. In fact, almost every program supports cross program drag and drop. I can drag a photo from iphoto into imovie, into my mail, into photoshop, I can drag files into other programs, etc.

The no deleting thing doesn't make any sense either. You hit empty trash. Poof. And there is not recycle bin. There's just a trash can. It's really not very complicated. I have a 7 yr old cousin who can use OSX just fine.

Well he could of grown up with MAc, What im saying is that for a first time users of Mac's thats about 99% of my class we all had problems with it.

It was like our evolution debate, its getting out of hand, spamming up the forums. We can talk about computers but not argue over who invented what or whats better.

The truth is, both platforms have their advantages and disadvantages, neither one is necessarily the "best" all-around, and taste plays too big a roll in the matter to reach a definitive answer anyway.
So I agree with MrCrowley 100%, time to stop arguing about it.

ONBOARD GRAPHICS!!!!!

Yes, that onboard "Extreme" graphics accelerator is probably about as bad as it gets in terms of graphics. I prefer to call them graphic rusty old single speed bikes than graphic accelerators.

Even if you don't do much gaming, get yourself a cheap aftermarket card, it's worth it.

Other places where they cheap you out:

Power Supply: Yes, it's very, very, important. A good power supply is the key to system reliability and performance.

Case Construction: Not a huge deal, but I find the cooling pretty lackluster.

That being said, I bought a Dell a while back, and it hasn't failed on me since. At least it had a nice ti4200 graphics card.

Yeah on the topic of gateways, they SUCK. On the topic of Vista, I'd say wait a year or two either before getting a new comp with vista or before putting it on there, that way people will find the bugs.
