have you thought about doing any long range shooting with that rifled .50 cal barrel and a scope?

I have already shot at 100m with this barrel, with Elurick to 200bar
I do not put it on because I do not Thorjack not shoot with tungsten ...

A smoothbore barrel definitely gives you a lot more options if you plan on using different types of projectiles. For some sabot rounds (like the ones I made for 8mm bearings) the rifling is an advantage because it not only imparts stability to the round but also provides a centrifugal force which aids sabot separation. On the other hand rifling adds a lot of friction drag which limits muzzle velocity, one of the reasons most tank guns these days are smoothbores.

I'm glad you love the look!

One of the things I like most about this configuration is that the chamber is not directly next to your face so it will limit danger in the unlikely event that something goes wrong, as opposed to if you were resting your cheek on it as you would in a conventional bullpup design.

I did not press her cheek against the chamber, this is why the look of the M82A2 Barret I liked!

The thought of making a more "compact" but still beastly launcher is tempting. Yesterday I started to play again with hybrid cartridges, now that I made a reliable fill rig it seems a shame to have stopped the project! Expect some results over the coming days

On another note, there was apparently an experimental motherlover of a weapon with a similar "shoulder fired" configuration made by Maadi-Griffin, but chambered for the 30mm cannon round as fired by the A-10's GAU-8/A gatling!

Barrett have a 25mm rifle out, but it has a tiny propellant charge compared to a even a 20mm cannon round and fires nowhere near the velocity of the 30mm round pictured above.

I can conceive of a weapon with sufficient recoil mitigation in terms of muzzle brakes and shock absorbers that would allow the firing of single 30mm cannon rounds from the shoulder, but full auto and dual wielded, I think we've slightly overstepped the boundaries of reality here

mouths of the brakes are hard to do!
The ones I do are quite effective but with good equipment that would be even better.
I have not been able to test yesterday ...
